Every 2nd Mon of the Month, 7pm TRA Hall

TRA MEETINGS

What do we do?
We meet for about an hour on the second Monday of every month at 7pm in the meeting room which is situated in Alberta TRA Hall, Alberta Street, SE17 3SG. Those present include a Chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer, Secretary and committee members and some residents. Additionally both the Chair and Vice-chair hold cleaning meetings with the council and other TRA's of the area. At these meetings we will discuss cleaning issues, ground maintenance, estate parking, communal repairs, refuge and recycling.

We also attend the Police Ward Panel meetings that are held approximately every eight weeks. Other local residents of the Newington ward as well as the councillors of the ward attend. Crime reports are given and then a priority list is agreed and implemented for the two month period.

There are currently a number of major works either in progress or due on the estate – all relevant whether you are a tenant, leaseholder or freeholder. The Vice Chair attends the monthly meetings with the contractors and council. At the TRA it’s a great opportunity for all to air any concerns you may have so they may be discussed with the relevant parties.

Additionally the chair aims to attend the council's forum meetings which are held every month with the other TRA's of the area. This offers up a great opportunity to ensure there is one strong voice for all those living in the ward.

We are keen to ensure we live in a clean and tidy area. As a result there are regular walkabouts on the first Monday of the month on the estate with the estate officer, supervisor of the cleaners, head of our gardeners and communal repairs.
