The Alberta TRA relies on community support and engagement to operate succesfully. In this section you'll find our latest consultations that we would like to get your feedback on. Not everyone will agree, and sometimes the options are limited, but we will always try and make the best decision for the whole community, taking into account the fantastic diversity and range of people living in our area.
Cycle Speebumps
Submission deadline - 9th November
The Alberta TRA has secured funding to install four cycle speed bumps along the pedestrianised section of Berryfield Road, opposite Cavour House. The measures follow community concerns about pedestrian safety due to increasing numbers of e-bikes and mopeds using the road as a cut-through.
This is an example of the speedbumps that will be installed. The exact design might differ in colour and sizing.
This is an illustrative example of what the speed bumps will look like on Berryfield rd:

The speedbumps will be evenly spaced along the pedestrian road.

They will not be placed in front of people's houses

They will only extend up to the cobbles, not over them.
